Team-Oriented Environment
Horizon utilizes an open office concept. There are no cubicles or individual offices that separate our employees. This promotes an environment that is based on team building and allows employees to have exposure to other areas of the company. Employees learn from professionals in other departments, which provides everyone with a better understanding of how Horizon works as a whole.

Career Development
Horizon recognizes the importance of career development and strives to help employees understand the business and industry so they excel in their professional growth. Horizon offers opportunities for internal mobility and both recognizes and rewards employees for their innovation, hard work and performance.

Diversity
Horizon has a diverse population with employees from all walks of life, cultures and varying backgrounds. From tango instructors to former Navy pilots, our employees come from a wide range of backgrounds. Part of Horizon’s success depends upon the ability to embrace diversity and recognize its benefits.

Sustainability
Horizon aims to promote environmental, economic and social stewardship to employees and to the communities where we do business by using sustainable processes and practices to foster partnerships that improve the quality of life.

Horizon has an internal Sustainability Committee that strives to:

  • Promote a sustainable working environment for employees
  • Set company policies to be in line with operating a sustainable company
  • Continuously evaluate corporate responsibility

Horizon is involved in the community, participating in events that support local causes in areas Horizon has offices or wind farms.

Horizon’s Corporate Headquarters is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certified Commercial Interior project in Houston. Horizon currently holds a Silver LEED rating. In 2008, the office space was a part of Mayor White’s Green Building Tour that highlighted efforts to create a green energy space.
